Land Use and Development Committee Meeting

The Land Use and Development Committee endeavors to implement the development guidelines established in the
Broad Ripple Village Plan (adopted by the Department of Metropolitan Development in November 2012) and submits recommendations to the BRVA board and Department of Metropolitan Development regarding zoning and planning issues and local and state boards and commissions regarding the issuance of alcoholic beverage permits.

I. Call to order and explanation of LU&DC's position on requests (6:00 p.m.)

II. Introductions of committee members and guests (6:00-6:05 p.m.)

III. Petitioner Presentations

A. 1. 838 East 65th Street, Mark Jones regarding a variance to provide for a five-foot tall freestanding sign and 42-inch tall aluminum picket fence within the right-of-way of 65th Street (15 foot setback required and structures not permitted within the right-of-way) Petition # 2017-DV1-039 Hearing before the Metropolitan Board of Zoning Appeals, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. (6:05-6:25)  

A. 2. 6367 & 6371 Guilford Avenue, David Kingen regarding changes to the building by removing the fourth floor and embracing a “village-scale” architecture. Petition #2016-CZN-843 / 2016-CVR-843 (6:25-6:45)  

IV. Committee Discussion/Information (6:25-6:40 p.m.)

A. Alcoholic Beverage Permit for beer and wine only requested by Just Pop In. Broad Ripple Agreement signed. Hearing July 17, 2017 (6:45-7:00)  

V. Adjournment of portion of the open meeting and confirmation of next meeting.
